Naujamiestis is one of the oldest microdistricts in Vilnius, yet is continuously and quickly changing and becoming a modern and creative place. This change is heavily influenced by huge industry premises which now being converted into spaces with a new purpose and meaning, i.e. lofts. Unsurprisingly, artists and architects of Vilnius are determined to transform this place into a centre of culture and art.
There are already some photography and design studios in Naujamiestis, as well as Vilnius College of Design. The art factory Loftas organises various entertaining shows and art events that receive a lot of attention from local citizens and visitors. We are happy that our hotel, reconstructed by architect Juliaus Volungevičiaus, fits in with the microdistrict’s spirit of development. The hotel’s facade was revived by artist Vladas Varkalys.
